A Voyage

May 3, 2014

Da Vinci Study of an EmbryoThe HMS Zygote sailed one night,
launched from the gleam in my Father's eye.
Since then,
my innocence has stood the test
of life's laboratories,
dissected and dipped in caustic situations,
hung up to dry while the flies landed.
On the other hand,
the gaze of loving eyes
and a thousand other joys
on this journey
allow me to say in all sincerity;
Glorioski, aint life grand?

Written as the result of the prompt, 'Voyage',
by the Writer's Digest 2014 April Poem-A-Day Challenge
Study of an Embryo by Leonardo da Vinci
