From the Editors:
Dear Friends,

Spring has been an elusive flirt this year, continuing to give us the cold shoulder (along with cold feet and everything else!) up here in Maine. We hope that as the earth tilts and the air warms that the climate of human hearts can warm as well. We send you an image of a lingering summer flower, the wisdom of Gerald May about the intricacies of prayer, one of Peter's videos about his search for meaning in this life, and an essay from me passing on a bit of beauty from Robert Sardello coupled with ensuing thoughts.

There's a wonderful little recipe about making Sage Honey for colds from herbalist Susun Weed, a video promoting an environment safe porta-potty called Nature Commode, and a couple of poems. As we hold our breath waiting for spring to really flower, please enjoy. We send this with our love.

Queen Anne's Lace on the Edge of Spring
While snowshoeing in rural Maine, Grace Brown took this shot of a lingering sprig of Queen Anne's Lace that survived the snow and sleet and dark of night. Wonderful and fascinating how something so delicate is still standing after months of harsh weather.
