Women For Women, Join Me on the Bridge, 2011
I had the joy of meeting people - women, and men - who care deeply about women victims of war - enough to take the time to meet on the Duke Ellington Bridge on a cool, cloudy day, and holdup placards, and talk to passers-by about the need to care, and help. more

There is no talking, no singing, no laughing and often prisoners are forced to stay in one physical position for many hours at a time without relief. Besides that they suffer with filthy blankets, tiny rations of only corn with salty soup to eat, filthy clothing, filthy sewage conditions, no heat in the winter, blistering heat in the summer and nineteen hour work days as a slave labor force in government owned factories. more
