I had the good fortune to see Emmylou Harris from the front row of the Cayamo cruise earlier this month (reviewed in the MusicViews column “Emmylou Harris on the Cayamo Cruise”). What a magnificent musical treasure she is. I think everyone in the cosmos should own at least one of her albums. Then we could have someone on television say, “On your mark, get set, go!” and we should all turn on our CD players simultaneously on the same song, for example, “The Pearl” and I think world peace could commence from that moment. It’s just an idea but I think we should try it. Here are some links to her music.
