This book is a truly amazing exposition of techniques for what the author calls "Scientific Prayer". The system is based on "New Thought", teachings that were developed by many people, including Ernest Holmes, founder of the Church of Religious Science, and Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, co-founders of the Unity Church.
I didn't agree with everything Shumsky wrote. However, I really liked the main thrust of the book. If you are interested in exploring powerful methods of prayer, check this book out!
The principles contained in the book are not "denominational" in the slightest.
